I’m Nalini, founder of Knots and Nuptials (Mrinalini Raman, but let’s keep it simple), a luxury wedding planner based in Hertfordshire creating multi-day celebrations that are anything but ordinary. From opulent Indian weddings to timeless English countryside affairs, or a mix of both, I help time-poor couples plan, design and execute weddings that are unforgettable, stress-free, and full of wow moments.
Before founding Knots and Nuptials, I launched Party Genie, a luxury children’s party planning boutique known for over the top, jaw dropping events, which I continue to run today. Attention to detail, personalisation, and magical experiences are my speciality, and my couples love that I underpromise and always overdeliver.
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 40 and I’ve turned it into my superpower. It helps me think quickly, notice the details others might miss, and bring a unique energy and creativity to every wedding I plan.Like most planners, I work with couples from all walks of life, but something special often happens when couples discover I’m neurodivergent. Many quietly share their own experiences too, and I often see them relax almost instantly, knowing they can be completely themselves without needing to explain how their minds work.
A little about me, I’m 4ft 11, yes I measure life in both feet and fun, a Bollywood binge watcher, a devoted rewatcher of the film The Holiday, a Pornstar Martini enthusiast, and mum to two amazing boys, Riyaansh and Arjun. I pour my heart into weddings the same way I do my family, wholeheartedly.
If I wasn’t planning weddings? I’d be in celebrity management, because let’s face it, I thrive on glamour, creativity, and the thrill of making dreams come true.
