I wasn’t made for a 9-5. The thrill of high-pressure deadlines, the creativity of storytelling, and the sheer joy of bringing a vision to life—that’s where I thrive. With 15 years in advertising, working with high-end brands, I loved the adrenaline rush of crafting experiences that left a lasting impact. I grew up in Mumbai, and it was during my own wedding planning journey—driving with my soon-to-be husband, Ajay, from city to city across India—that I developed my long-term love affair with all things wedding-related. Little did I know, this passion would become my career, my purpose, and ultimately… my everything.
I’m Mrinalini Raman, but to save you the tongue-twister, just call me Nalini! As a luxury wedding planner living in Hertfordshire, I founded Knots & Nuptials to help time-poor couples create seamless, multi-day celebrations that are anything but ordinary. Whether it’s an opulent Indian wedding, a timeless English countryside affair, or a fusion of both, my goal is to ensure your wedding isn’t just beautifully planned—it’s an experience you and your guests will never forget.

Before Knots & Nuptials, I founded Party Genie, a luxury children’s party planning boutique known for over-the-top, beautifully curated occasions. Attention to detail, personalisation, and creating jaw-dropping moments? That’s my thing. My couples get the same dedication—the devotion of a lifelong friend, paired with the expertise of a seasoned planner.
When I’m not designing show-stopping weddings, you’ll find me sipping on a black tea (or preferably a Pornstar Martini!), catching up on Bollywood movies, or rewatching The Holiday for the hundredth time. I’m also a mum to two incredible boys, Riyaansh and Arjun, and family means everything to me—which is why I pour my heart into creating weddings that bring families and friends together in the most unforgettable way.
And if I wasn’t a wedding planner? I’d be in celebrity management. Because let’s be honest, I love the glitz, the glamour, and most importantly—the rush.
